Contrary to speculations making rounds in some sections of the media, Zanaco Football Club would like to state the First Assistant Coach Joel BWALYA has not been suspended by the Bankers rather he is on leave. This is contained in a statement issued by the Club’s General Manager, Marlon KANANDA.
“Coach Joel is still Sensational. As far as both the Club and the gaffer are concerned, nothing has changed in terms of our work relationship,” Kananda said.
Mr Kananda has since asked that the falsehoods being peddled be dispelled with the contempt they deserve.
“One of the things that make us unique as a Club in this country is that we have a vibrant communication system. We keep all our stakeholders well informed at all times. So if any so called development at Sunset has not been communicated by ourselves, chances are that it is false. Falsehoods need to be trashed with the contempt they deserve,” the General Manager said.
While coach Bwalya is on leave, Head Coach Chris KAUNDA will be assisted by Henry BANDA. Bwalya is expected to rejoin the bench sometime in December.
