Zanaco Ladies is pleased to announce the acquisition of goalkeeper Brigitte Ngamita Zita and striker Rebecca Kianga Mulanga from the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Both players have signed two-year deals with the club, with Ngamita joining on a two-year loan agreement from Ituri FC, and Kianga joining on a two-year permanent contract from Les Aigles du Congo.
The two players are part of the team’s transitional season and are likely to feature in today’s squad against Red Arrows.
Goalkeeper Ngamita joins the club after playing for TP Mazembe. She won the African Women’s Football Champions League in 2023, as well as the UNIFAC Cup in 2022 and 2024.
Her career includes winning the provincial cup without conceding a goal. Internationally, Ngamita has represented DR Congo, captaining the U-20 national team in 2023 and serving as the goalkeeper for the senior national team, which qualified for the 2024 AFCON.
“Zanaco Football Club has a rich history on the African stage and it’s an honor to join the club,” Ngamita said.
Striker Rebecca Kianga Mulanga joins the club on a permanent two-year deal from Les Aigles du Congo in the Congolese Super League. Kianga was the top scorer in the super league last season, scoring 18 goals.
She has represented DR Congo at the U-17 and U-20 youth levels and plays for the senior national team. Kianga expressed happiness after penning down the contract.
“I am happy to join Zanaco Ladies and I want to be part of their success,” Kianga said.
The addition of Ngamita and Kianga strengthens the Zanaco Ladies squad for the upcoming season.
