Zanaco Football Club has reaffirmed its ambition for the new season with the unveiling of its 2026/27 kit and the announcement of a transformative three-year hydration partnership with Big Tree Beverages.

The double milestone was celebrated at a colourful ceremony held at Sunset Stadium on 23rd September 2026, graced by the Guest of Honour, Acting Chief Executive Officer of Zanaco Bank Plc, Mr. Kalengo Simukoko, Zanaco Board Members, Club CEO Mr. Owen Chansa Chimpinde, Football Association of Zambia Deputy General Secretary Mr. Iva Lengwe, Zambian Premier League CEO Mr. Owen Chimpampwe, representatives from Big Tree Beverages, players, members of the press and supporters.

Announcing the partnership, Zanaco FC Chief Executive Officer Mr. Owen Chansa Chimpinde said it goes beyond a commercial deal.

“Today, we ink a three-year partnership that designates Big Tree Beverages as our Official Hydration Partner. This alliance transcends a standard commercial agreement. It addresses a fundamental pillar of athletic performance and elite wellbeing: proper hydration,” he said.

He added that the deal will benefit all levels of the club, from the senior men’s and women’s teams to the grassroots structures.

“This is more than an investment in today’s competitors; it is a direct investment in the future architects of our Club,” Mr. Chimpinde said, while outlining the club’s six strategic objectives for the season centred on competitiveness, holistic progress, youth pathways, professionalism, stakeholder synergy and long-term sustainability.

Representing Big Tree Beverages, Head of Marketing Mr. Sachin Narang said the partnership was built on shared values.

“Happy to partner with Zanaco on a three-year hydration sponsorship package. We believe the two institutions share a common vision. Just as Zanaco’s mission, strong and reliable. We are Zambia’s titans in what we do,” he said.

Mr. Narang said he was pleased that Big Tree Beverages was partnering with Zanaco FC and described the agreement as another milestone for the company.

“Yet another milestone that we have achieved where we are now partnering with the club. To not only provide an opportunity to go out and express yourself on the field but also to ensure that you are given the best of hydration, the premium hydration brand that is going to support you through your journey,” he said.

Officially unveiling the kit, Guest of Honour Mr. Kalengo Simukoko said the jersey carries far more than colours.

“Today marks an important occasion, not only for the presentation of a new football kit, but also for what this moment represents. We are not gathered merely to unveil a jersey; we are here to give visible expression to the identity, confidence and collective pride of Zanaco Football Club,” he said.

“It communicates belonging. It reflects loyalty. It represents the bond between a club and its supporters, between an institution and the communities it serves, and between a brand and the values it upholds, a brand committed to putting YOU FIRST.”

He urged the players to wear the badge with pride.

“As you wear this kit, remember that it will be seen in many places: on the pitch, in homes, within communities, on screens, and in the hearts of supporters who follow this club with great passion. May it serve as a reminder that every match presents an opportunity to represent excellence, discipline and respect.”

Mr. Simukoko then officially launched the 2026–2027 kit. The ceremony was followed by a seasonal press conference and a friendly match against Green Buffaloes which Zanaco won by 5-2.
