Zanaco Football Club has officially signed goalkeeper Jeban Tembo, who joins the Bankers on a two-season loan deal from Red Arrows.
Tembo brings a wealth of experience to Zanaco, having previously featured for FC MUZA and Kafue Celtic, among other clubs.
The goalkeeper is also a former Zambia Under-20 and Under-23 national team player, having represented the country at youth international level.
His performances on the international stage earned him individual recognition at the 2022 COSAFA Under-20 Championship in Eswatini, where he was named the Best Goalkeeper of the Tournament.
Tembo could not hide his excitement after putting pen to paper on the deal, describing his move to Zanaco as a special moment given his long-standing connection with the club.
“I am so happy to join Zanaco. This is the club I grew up watching when I was young, coming from Mtendere Township,” Tembo said.
The new Zanaco goalkeeper has also set his sights on contributing to the club’s ambitions, promising to give his best as the team targets a successful season.
He said he was ready to play his part both on and off the pitch and help Zanaco achieve its objectives for the campaign.
Tembo’s arrival adds experience and quality to the Zanaco squad as the Bankers continue to shape their team ahead of the new season.
