Recruited from Kitwe United, midfielder Lassa Kiala and defender John Mwewa will go up against Kitwe United, a team which got them to play in the Zambian Premier League for the first time in their football careers.

The last time Zanaco FC played Kitwe United at Sunset, both Kiala and Mwewa turned up for Chingalika, but it’s a different story this time around as the two players will be on the opposite side facing their former team in a week 32 FAZ/MTN Super League match on Saturday.

Zanaco FC Media team quizzed the duo on their feelings about facing the club they played for before joining the Bankers.

Kiala said; “It’ll be a different feeling Zanaco playing Kitwe United at Sunset with me on the other side, it is obviously a new experience for me.”

“In the previous encounter, I turned up for Kitwe United, Zanaco was considered as a ‘big’ team, so the approach to the game was different as we were playing a much more experienced team than ours. But this time around, I’ll be on the different side, the ‘bigger’ team of the two and I’ll approach this game differently.” He said

“But, we should not underrate them just because they’re already relegated, I feel they still have something to play for, pride, while others wants to market themselves to other teams.” He added

“I’ll put in everything to make sure that we come out on top because we’re also challenge for the title.” He conclude

Mwewa also shared his feelings with Zanaco FC Media on playing his former club.

“We want to win and they also want to win. It’s a must win game for both teams because we (Zanaco) are fighting to go top of the log while our opponents are playing for pride.”

He further said that the team should not lose any points.

“This is a must win match,we can’t afford to lose points now. We have to work extra hard and see to it that we win and accomplish our target of winning the league.”

“Work first and friendship aside during the match. I am happy that I’ll get a chance to see them.” Mwewa said.

Zanaco play already relegated Kitwe United, while Zesco United will face Lusaka Dynamos in an early Kick-Off of the Saturday’s double header at Sunset.
