ZANACO LADIES REGROUP FOR PRE-SEASON TRAINING

Zanaco Ladies Football Club kicked off their pre-season training at the Bank of Zambia Sports Complex on Tuesday morning with a low key-session.

The first day back in office recorded a good
turn-out with only new players who are yet to finalize with their transfers missing out. Other notable absentees were just two players from the old list.

In absence of head coach Florence Mwila who is with the senior women national team preparing for the World, goalkeeper coach Sarah Chungu conducted the session and was assisted by Zite Tembo and Bright Kunda.

Chungu was happy with the turnout and levels of fitness in the players.

"Am very happy with what I’ve seen in training today, being the first day of training after a long break, I think most players still look in good shape and that means that they took good care of themselves during the break.

"Everyone attended today’s training except for two of our old players and those who coming to join us. Those who are joining us are not here with us because they’re still finalizing with their transfers." Chungu said

The Ladies team regrouped ahead of the 2023/24 season which kick start on a date yet to be announced by the Football Association of Zambia.
