Victorious United Queens failed to show up at NASDEC ground yesterday morning to take on Zanaco Ladies in their Week 33 fixture of the FAZ Womens League Lusaka Province.

Zanaco Ladies Team Manager Bright Kunda says the match was supposed to kick off at 10hrs.

“When it was 10:30hrs our opponents had not yet arrived at NASDEC so we called them and asked if they’re coming or not.Victorious Head Coach said they will not make it for the match and did not give any reason.We then told the referees and asked them to talk to our opponents and they verified that they will not make it.”

Kunda says that the matter was reported to the referees manager and await to hear from the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) on What will be done.

Victorious are on 6th position with 50 points.

Before today’s match Zanaco only needed a win from their two remaining matches to guarantee a top spot finish.

Zanaco has played 32 games,won 25, drew 4 and lost 3.They have 79 points and scored 118 goals.

Zanaco’s last match of the season is next weekend against Chibolya Queens.
