Supporters have been cleared to return to venues in the Zambian Super League to watch their teams after the lifting of coronavirus restrictions by the Ministry of Health.


Fans will be allowed to return to stadia, health minister Sylvia Masebo provided the new guidelines in a statement released on Friday.

The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has confirmed the development in statement released morning.

Part of the statement below reads:

“…Following the lifting of Covid-19 restrictions by the Ministry of Health, arising
from reduced Covid-19 incidences, the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ)
wishes to inform its members and all stakeholders that spectators will be allowed
to return to stadia albeit in observance of the five golden rules.

FAZ has sought guidance from the Ministry of Health and the superintending
ministry of sports to ensure that the return of spectators is within the specified
Covid-19 guidelines.”

Supporters were unable to attend matches last season due to restrictions designed to contain the spread of coronavirus.

Sunset Stadium will today host a double header match with Nkwazi FC and Forest Rangers battling it out in an early Kick-Off while, Zanaco host Prison Leopards at 15 hours.
