Zanaco Football Club and Al Ahli Tripoli Sporting Club of Libya have signed a three year memorandum of understanding.

The memorandum of understanding is to promote collaborative efforts between the two teams in Football Business,to promote links between the Zanaco Football Club and Al Ahli Tripoli Sports Club by providing appropriate opportunities for transfer of players between the Parties on outright purchases and chargeable loan fees for an agreed period of not less than six (6) months and also marketing of players to other Libyan and Zambian teams respectively.

Zanaco Football Club Chairperson Mr. David Musunga said the signing of the MOU is a culmination of an extensive consultative process in which all parties discussed on how best they could achieve a common objective of joint collaboration in Football Development.

“This partnership will be able to give technical and administrative program assistance that will enhance general football management to the technical and administrative staff of Zanaco Football Club it will also optimise the provision of coaching expertise and leadership in the sport of football.”

Mr Musunga also adds that the MOU will promote young academy players by way of collaborating on youth development support, scouting and talent identification.

“This MOU will promote international friendly games involving the participation of Al Ahli Tripoli Sports Club and Zanaco Football Club to be played in Libya, Zambia or any neutral place deemed fit, subject to the agreement on costs prior to the confirmation of any matches.
and also give technical and administrative program assistance that will enhance general football management to the technical and administrative staff of Zanaco Football Club.”

The memorandum of understanding signing event took place on Tuesday evening at Southern Sun Ridgeway Hotel and The Executive Director for Al Ahli Tripoli Sports Club Mr. Nagi Tarhuni was present and did the signing.

Mr Tarhuni said he’s happy with the development.

“Congratulations to both clubs for this milestone we have to decided to take. I am certain that this partnership will yield good results.”

Zanaco Bank PLC Chief Executive Officer Mrs. Mukwandi ChibesaKunda was also present.
