ZANACO FC on September 18 befittingly sealed their 2021/2022 CAF Champions League victory and second stage qualification of the competition in front of a very special guest at National Heroes Stadium in Lusaka.
Club Sponsors’ Zambia National Commercial Bank PLC (ZANACO) Chief Executive Officer Mrs Mukwandi Chibesakunda made a special appearance on Saturday afternoon to support the team as it took on Akonangui of Equatorial Guinea.
The ZANACO CEO was accompanied by Zanaco Bank Board Chairman Mr. Hastings Mtine, Zanaco Football Club Board Chairman Mr. David Musunga and Minister of Sports Mr. Elvis Nkandu.
ZANACO FC won the match 1-0 courtesy of an Abraham Siankombo 69th minute goal to see the seven-time Zambian champions advance 3-0 goal aggregate.
The Bankers play Al Merreikh of Sudan next month in the pre-group knockout round over two-legs to decide who will qualify to the CAF Champions League group stage that kicks off in February, 2022.
