Midfielder Abraham Siankombo made his continental debut in the CAF Champions League on 12th September 2021 in a preliminary round match against Akonangui FC of Equatorial Guinea.
Siankombo says the first few minutes of his continental were scary.
Playing for the first time in such a competition,the first few minutes were intimidating but in the second half I settled and gained confidence.It was amazing the game just started flowing, “Siankombo said.
I learnt new things.I have been playing amongst experienced players and I keep on learning in each and every game that I play.
The midfielder scored his first CAF goal in the return leg match against Akonangui at Heroes Stadium in Lusaka,Zambia on 18th September that Zanaco won 1-0 and saw them progress to the second preliminary round on 3-0 goal aggregate.
It is always nice scoring when the team needs a goal the most.I was happy that I came in handy and scored the only goal that made us get maximum points, he said
