Newly Appointed Zanaco Football Club Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Modest Hamalabbi says he is happy to join Zanaco.
I am delighted to be here, Zanaco is one of the biggest clubs on the continent and in Zambian football.
In the last 10 years the Bankers have been contenders of the top four clubs in the country and it gives me pleasure to be part of such a good team.
Hamalabbi says he has accepted to be part of Zanaco for a purpose of career growth and for a big name that it is.
It is a big name on the market and the team has been doing very well and any person would want to be associated with such a club. he said
He also adds on that he looks forward to working with a full technical bench, management team and the sponsors in fulfilling the mandate of the club.
He also said that one of the targets in the strategic plan is to finish in top four that’s if it goes to the worst.
We hope to bounce back in top four position next season. We just have to look back and pick the positives from last season and look at what did not go well that led us to finish on 6th position.
All in all the team is solid, there are just a few things that needs to be put in place. he added
Prior to his appointment, Mr Hamalabbi worked at Zambia Qualification Authority (ZAQA) as Director of Technical Services. He has also worked at Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA) as Director of Education and Services.
