Sensational Zanaco Football Club defender Golden Mafwenta is in Zambia U20’s 24-member Provisional squad for the 2019 U20 COSAFA Men’s championship that will be staged in Lusaka from 4-14 December.
Mafwenta is happy to be part of the squad that will be representing the country.
“I am very happy. This is my first national team call up and i have made it to the final squad.”
He also adds that he will make use of this opportunity.
“This is an opportunity for me to show the world what i am capable of, i am looking forward to winning my first ever title for the country. I am going to do my best and I know my team mates will do too.”
He was speaking in a telephone interview with Zanaco Media today afternoon.
The 18 year old joined the bankers this year in August from Happy Hearts Football Club.
