Zanaco Football Club will be away to Mutondo Stars at Kafubu Stadium in Luanshya tomorrow in a Week 26 fixture of the MTN Super League.
Zanaco has dropped four points in the last two games, picking up a 1-1 draw against Green Buffaloes last Thursday and another 1-1 draw against Konkola Blades on Sunday.
Head coach Mumamba Numba says the team is set and looking forward to the match.
“Out of the possible six points we could have picked in the last games, we only picked two. This is a game where we need to make amends. We need to fight hard and try to collect maximum points.”
Numba highlighted the challenge ahead, noting that facing Mutondo Stars is never easy.
“Mutondo is a stubborn team. It is not a team that you can go there thinking you have already won before the game is played. You have to go there and work on the pitch that’s when you can collect the points that you want. Otherwise, we have done our homework; we just need to push our boys and fight to get the three points.”
The match was initially scheduled to be played at Arthur Davies Stadium but was moved to Kafubu Stadium because Power Dynamos will be using the venue. Numba says the change of venue is not an issue.
“We are familiar with Kafubu Stadium; we played there during the pre-season tournament, so it is not a strange place for us. We know it well. We just need to go there with a positive attitude so that we fight to collect maximum points and further consolidate our position in the top four.”
He has also urged fans to continue rallying behind the team as they have always done.
