Zanaco FC head coach Mumamba Numba has declared his side ready for tomorrow’s away fixture against Kabwe Warriors.
Numba described the match as an emotional and challenging encounter, having served the opponents as head coach last season before joining Zanaco in the second round.
“It feels good to go back to my former employers, but that is what makes the encounter tough,” Numba said.
Numba, assistant coach Noel Mwandila, and defender Tinkler Sinkala will all return to face their former team, where they were based last season.
He described the fixture as a clash of titans but assured that his side had prepared adequately.
“This encounter is interesting because both teams are enjoying a good run in the last three games they have played,” he said.
Numba encouraged his players to maintain a positive approach in order to secure a desirable result.
Currently, Zanaco sit third on the table with 37 points, while Kabwe Warriors are seventh with 36 points.
In the first-round meeting, Zanaco defeated Kabwe Warriors 3–2 at Sunset Stadium.
Numba also urged fans to continue supporting the team, saying their backing motivates the players to perform better.
The match will be played at Railway Stadium and is scheduled to kick off at 14:00 hours.
