Zanaco FC management successfully conducted a board orientation session to welcome the new board of directors to the club.
The club’s General Manager, Marlon Kananda took the leading role in conducting the session which offered a glimpse of how Zanaco FC, one of the subsidiaries of the bank is run.
The new board members were given an opportunity to know about the club’s vision, mission, goals and culture.
The orientation also provided an opportunity for the new board to know how the club is currently performing and the challenges it is facing.
Kananda pointed out on a few existing developmental projects and also emphasized on major upgrades that Sunset Stadium urgently requires so as to meet the club licensing criteria.
“We have done a few changes here at the stadium, but more work is needed to be done.
Change rooms needs to be expanded to meet the CAF prescribed standards, a medical and conference rooms also needs to be put in place. There’s also need for a training pitch to be done as space is readily available.” He told the board members.
An opportunity during the orientation was provided for the introduction of teams under Zanaco FC wing, such as Young Zanaco and the ladies team.
